Description

Seville Orange Marmalade

A classic, deeply citrus-led marmalade made slowly with organic Seville oranges.

Quick answer: Seville Orange Marmalade is a traditional citrus preserve made with organic Seville oranges. Handmade in Gloucestershire over three days, it has a bright orange flavour, tender peel and the gently bitter finish that classic marmalade lovers look for.

Our Seville Orange Marmalade is handmade in small batches using organic Seville oranges, chosen for their vivid citrus flavour, fragrant peel and natural pectin.

Each batch is made over three days, allowing the peel to soften and the fruit to develop its full flavour. The result is a bright, aromatic marmalade with generous texture, lively orange notes and a rounded, gently bitter finish.

Choose this marmalade if you enjoy a traditional, citrus-led preserve with proper Seville orange character.

Tasting Notes

Flavour: Bright Seville orange with deep citrus character

Sweetness: Balanced rather than overly sweet

Bitterness: Gently bitter and traditionally styled

Texture: Generous marmalade with tender citrus peel

How to Enjoy It

Serve generously on hot buttered toast, sourdough, croissants or breakfast pastries. It is also excellent in cakes, puddings and biscuits, or used as a citrus glaze for ham, duck, chicken or roasted vegetables.

For a simple dessert, warm a spoonful and serve it over vanilla ice cream, yoghurt or a steamed sponge pudding.

Chef-crafted, small batch, preserving excellence.

Sarah’s Maker’s Note

Seville oranges are the classic marmalade fruit because they naturally bring together fragrance, acidity, bitterness and pectin. Giving the fruit time over three days allows the peel to soften properly while keeping the flavour vivid and unmistakably citrus-led.

Great Taste Judges’ Comments – 3 Star Gold

“What a stunner! This is how marmalade should be. The intensity of the orange is astounding. The balance of the orange with sweetness is perfection. Not a grain of sugar is out of place. The shred is cooked to the precise second it should be, and cut to exactly the right thickness. Everything about this is utterly beautiful and full of integrity. The finish is long, crisp and clean. It lingers and touches every part of the palate.”

  1. Linda –

I bought this as a gift for my dad and is what he had to say….
“The taste of the marmalade and conserve I had given to me as a gift were absolutely divine. The shreds in the marmalade were just right and normally Im not a lover of the ‘twigs’!
I rate the products as outstanding as well as the customer service.
    Fantastic”
Thank you for making my dad happy 😊 💖😊

  2. Kate –

The only marmalade my sted dad will eat! Thank you Sarah and team ❤️

  3. Elizabeth Robinson –

The Seville marmalade is just divine. I can highly recommend this product.

  4. Susan Boyce –

The marmalade is delicious and full of flavour. I will always be ordering all my jams and marmalades from the Artisan kitchen.

  5. Shruthilaya Baker Suresh –

We really liked the seville orange marmalade. It goes well with bread toast for breakfast.

  6. Karen Taylor –

An almost sherbet-like citrus zing. Perfect on your toasted sourdough. Yum!

  7. Nick Johns –

So we return to where we started, with Seville Orange marmalade, after meandering through the excellent range of marmalades and jams that beat anything else on the market. Starting the journey again, maybe encountering any additions to the range. Tip top service for a very high quality product.
    Thankyou Sarah.

  8. margaret shortland –

I find commercial marmalade sickly sweet so I made my own for years using a high proportion of fruit to sugar than they use because I didn’t need a long shelf life, only one that lasted until the next Seville orange season began .
I can no longer make marmalade because of health issues and thought I would never get to eat flavourful marmalade again until I found Artisan marmalade . It tastes almost as good as my own !

  9. Caroline Gutch –

We were down to our last jar but a new order of 6 jars of The Artisan Kitchen’s wonderful Seville marmalade now in our pantry. This is a very special business, to be treasured.

  10. Erik Lowis –

I have a problem with the marmalades: I love this pot for its consistency, the fruity flavour with just the right amount of ‘tang’. Then it’s gone and I open the next, different jar and WOW! What a burst of flavour, rich and subtly different, again not too sweet, but I can’t resist another slice of Over Farm shop seeded wholemeal: the perfect accompaniment.
    Artisan
Kitchen preserves aren’t cheap, but worth every penny !

  11. David –

Can’t eat enough of it. One of the best Seville Marmalades. Many bought previously.

  12. Heather Henderson –

Great marmalade won’t buy any other than this.

  13. bhpickering –

I purchased three jars of your marmalade to take to my friend in the USA, she loves marmalade. Just returned and while there compared various marmalades with yours. No comparison! Yours was far superior, full Seville orange taste with the right contrast of bitterness and sweetness. Will certainly be taking more over.

  14. e.lacombe68 –

Absolutely delicious. The taste is amazing. . will not buy any others. I have it on toast in my porridge or in yoghurts every morning.

  15. Michelle Ashley –

This was brought for my husband (who is Spanish), he said it was full of rich, zesty, punchy flavour.

  16. David Harper –

Excellent and my Wife delighted she can stop making marmalade!

  17. Laura Albert Martinez –

This was purchased as a gift, so I didn’t get to try it myself. What I will say is that I was blown away by the personal service from Sarah to ensure that I got my gift on time! Thank you so much! Want to buy more to try for myself !

  18. Fiona –

Extremely moreish! bought this to enjoy with family on our weekend caravan trip. On hot toast in the mornings with a cup of tea. It was a winner with the children too. Will definitely be buying again ⭐️
