Nine Gold and Silver Wins at the Taste of the West Awards

The Artisan Kitchen celebrates nine medals at the Taste of the West Product Awards 2015.

Exciting news arrived from the Taste of the West Awards 2015. The Artisan Kitchen scooped nine medals across the products entered that year.

Even better, every preserve submitted received an award. For a small Gloucester kitchen dedicated to handmade fruit preserves, the results felt incredibly rewarding.

The judging panel awarded Gold medals to Pink Grapefruit Vanilla Marmalade, Seville Orange Tonka Bean Marmalade and Early Rivers Prolific Plum Jam.

Further Gold recognition went to Sweet Orange Passionfruit Marmalade, Gloucestershire Rowells Plum Jam, Strawberry Apple Vanilla Jam and Apricot Vanilla Elderflower Jam.

Two preserves received Silver awards. These included Blackcurrant Sloe Gin Jam and Raspberry Passionfruit Jam.

Together these results celebrated both creativity and flavour across the entire Artisan Kitchen range.

Celebrating South West food and drink

Taste of the West is the largest independent regional food group in the United Kingdom. Its members include producers, retailers, chefs and hospitality businesses from across the South West.

Founded in 1991, the organisation now supports more than one thousand members across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Each year the awards programme recognises excellence in both food products and hospitality businesses. Judges evaluate entries for flavour, provenance and overall quality.

Winning a Taste of the West medal therefore signals a genuine mark of quality and authenticity.
